Nestled amidst 64 acres of the picturesque lower Galilee region, Jordan River Village (JRV) transcends the traditional concept of an overnight camp. Drawing inspiration from Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, we proudly hold full membership within his SeriousFun Children’s network—a global coalition of free camps dedicated to seriously ill children.
As Israel’s sole overnight camp designed to provide a secure and nurturing environment for seriously ill and disabled children, JRV has passionately served more than 30,000 children since the establishment of its year-round camp in 2012. We annually extend our services to 6,000 children and 700 family members, all without cost. Over the next three years, JRV is determined to develop innovative programs that will reach every child and family in need across Israel.
Inspired by the legacy of Paul Newman and Chaim Topol, we’re embarking on a profound three-year transformation to increase the number of children served by 50%.
