At Jordan River Village (JRV), we are committed to serving every child in Israel facing chronic illness, life-threatening conditions, disabilities, or special needs. With 75,000 children impacted by these challenges, we take a comprehensive approach that goes beyond medical care—fostering emotional resilience, peer support, family resources, and personal growth in a safe and inclusive environment.

Our Story

The inspiration for Jordan River Village dates back to 1988, when legendary actor Paul Newman founded the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut. His goal was simple yet profound: to give children with serious illnesses the opportunity to experience the joys of childhood, free from the burdens of hospital visits and medical treatments. As Newman famously said, “It’s not that the children say, ‘Thank you for a wonderful time…’ it’s that they say, ‘Thank you for changing my life.’”
