David became president of the family business and eventually led the sale of most of the company in 1997. Shortly thereafter, he purchased the remaining kitchen cabinet distribution business where he has been ever since. David has sat on the boards of the former Jewish Home for the Aged, Ezra Academy, The Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven, past Chair of University of Connecticut’s Trachten, Zachs Hillel House and Past Chair of The Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven.
Together with his siblings, David manages the Morris and Sylvia Trachten Family Foundation, supporting various initiatives primarily in Israel and here in the US.
